There is a huge election taking place in Louisiana. The primaries will be held October 24, 2015, and the general primary will take place on November 21st.
At this time, I feel inundated with a huge amount of information underload. The candidate commercials are filled with rhetoric, and rhetoric is just that...rhetoric. I don't think it means anything. The candidates will run and win. They will move into office and clean up the place. They will be the most transparent governor, lieutenant governor, senator, dog-catcher or ditch-digger that ever existed. Now we can all breathe a sigh of relief.
Oh, my. The negativity rears its big ugly head.
I went to the Women's League of Voters of Louisiana on line to get a list of the candidates. http://lwvofla.org
The governor's election would seem to be the stand out. Bobby Jindal is unable to run this term (for governor of Louisiana, anyway). Here is the list published by the League:
Governor
Well, just looking at the list, a few questions come up. What Other party? No Tea Party candidates? (Maybe that's the other party.) Does No Party mean non-partisan? (Is there really such a thing as non-partisan?)
I included race and gender because the league did.
Next: what info will help me to decide and where to get it.
